There is no better way to connect to your community than through volunteering. Our Volunteers support newcomers’ integration, creating a tight-knit community for all. The following are some of the programs we are happy to offer at the YMCA and our volunteers can be involved with.
Our current volunteer opportunities are:
· YMCA Canada Connects- Matching program between volunteers and newcomer individuals/families
· Active Living Programming, including English Classroom Facilitator
· Homework Club – online tutoring for youth
· Saturday Study Skills – volunteering with children

· Experience working with diverse populations
What you will need to complete:
· Volunteer Interview
· Valid Criminal reference and vulnerable sector check
· Child Abuse Registry Check
· Three references
· Commitment to YMCA training
